王朝相：本人為平遙縣梁坡底村，生于咸豐六年（1856年），故于民國五年（1916年）享年只有60歲。自幼天資聰慧，記憶力過人。由于家庭所迫，18歲入該號當學徒，當時叫長盛慶，25歲頂三厘生意（即人身股），當時財東為了調動員工積極性、創造性，使用了一種激盛機制叫二元股份，東家出錢為銀股，員工出力為身股，頂三厘生意，也就是說在大帳期他可以拿到0.3股30％的股份，當時可達1.8萬銀兩，折合人民幣150萬元左右。四年分紅一次，平均開來也就是他的年工資，王朝相是在32歲時擔任長盛蔚總經理，接管整個商號的。王朝陽有過目不忘之才，被商界老者稱為一代巨擘，大拇指的意思。

大掌柜在擔任長盛蔚總經理期間，身先士卒，勇于創新，不落俗套，前往俄國莫斯科設立分莊，大膽引進洋貨，開創了平遙商界新領域，為長盛蔚從外國人手中賺回了大把大把的銀子。
